About Us
Edulink
Support Services
My name is Leigh De Silva and I am the Director of Edulink Support Services, a developmental education and behaviour support provider working across Queensland and Victoria.
With a Master of Autism Studies (Griffith University) and more than two decades of experience in education and behaviour support, I specialise in complex behaviour intervention, developmental education, and early intervention services for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental differences.
I combine professional expertise with lived experience as a parent advocate, bringing unique insight into neurodiverse learning, homeschooling, and alternative education models. My approach is both evidence-based and family-centred, ensuring practical strategies that improve quality of life for children and their families.
My Journey
I began my career as a teacher working with students with disabilities before moving into leadership roles in special education. Over the years, I've managed complex behaviour cases, trained educators, and supported countless families through challenging times.
My research in Autism Studies explored how girls on the spectrum experience social differences, and I continue to contribute to the field through publications and conference presentations. My writing has appeared in Autism Parenting Magazine, where I share practical strategies for families and schools.
As both a practitioner and a parent, I understand the challenges families face - and I'm passionate about creating solutions that make a real difference in daily life.
